I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by their salsa and their queso. This place gets 5 stars for both. Fresh, house-made salsa - unbelievably good. I want to bathe in it.
Got the steak and shrimp, as suggested by another yelp review, and it was good - better than was to be expected for a $12 steak + shrimp. Fresh, tender, and tasty.
I'd go back for sure.
Also, if you're judging a Mexican restaurant based on its look and atmosphere, you clearly need to reevaluate your life. The foods good here. The atmosphere is small town restaurant, nothing fancy, but it was clean. What more do you need?
Also, completely irrelevant, but the hostess and waitresses were all incredibly good-looking. If that helps in your restaurant decision.
Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. The service was a bit slow but the food came out quickly.our waiter was friendly but had a hard time understanding us. The drinks were very good and very big. The food was excellent, inexpensive and the portion sizes were more than enough. I could not finish even half of my burrito. The only drawback was the very heavy cheese sauce. Otherwise the food was fresh and very good.
La Sierra Mexican Restaurant is located on Andersonville Highway in the shopping center less than a hundred yards from the light at the US Route 441/Andersonville Hwy intersection. La Sierra is a discrete little restaurant tucked away off the road near the quite little town of Norris. La Sierra is your typical Mexican restaurant found all over the county either in a strip mall or in a stand alone building converted to fit the new restaurants needs. La Sierra sports televisions and a full bar.
The menu is generic but does offer a few surprises. La Sierra offers daily food and drink specials. I dropped into this quint little restaurant one Saturday evening about an hour before closing. The server brought chips and salsa over as I was greeted. I ordered a house margarita and the combination plate #3. The margarita was sweet. I believe it to be a store bought pre-made mix. Despite the generic mix, it wasn't over powering and I could taste a hint of tequila. The #3 combo was brought out in a flash and was piping hot. The meals was filling and had a fair price. The staff was friendly and the service quick. I recommend dropping in if you're ever in the area and craving some good Mexican food.
So good! The portions were large and prices great! Great guacamole! Chilli relleno was great! Fresh and fast! Must try!
This is the best restaurant! I love this place! The staff is wonderful! Alex is very nice!
